Cultures of China, Festival of Spring

the highest level of professional performance from Bejing, China, being held on March 5th (Friday) 2010 at 7:30pm in the Auditorium Theater of Chicago (50 Congress Parkway, Chicago). This show is sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office (OCAO) of the State Council of People’s Republic of China and the China Oversea Exchanges Association (COEA), co-hosted by the nonprofit organizations: the Chinese American Association of Greater Chicago (CAAGC) and the Midwest Asian Health Association (MAHA), and organized by the Greater Chicago Chinese Committee of the Cultures of China, Festival of Spring, which is composed of more than 60 greater Chicago Chinese organizations, family associations, art groups, and alumni associations.
The Spring Festival Celebration Performances have been successfully toured in more than 10 major countries internationally during the Chinese lunar New Year season. This special global art tour named the “Cultures of China, Festival of Spring” has received numerous recognitions and compliments not only from the overseas Chinese community, but also from the mainstream societies all over the world.

团长寄语

虎跃龙腾迎盛世，四海同春贺新年！值此新春佳节来临之际，我谨代表中华人民共和国国务院侨务办公室和中国海外交流协会，向广大旅美（加）华侨华人朋友们致以最诚挚的问候！

佳节团圆日，相思倍增时。中国农历新年是中华民族最隆重的传统佳节，为弘扬中华文化、增添节日气氛、慰问海外侨胞，继去年“文化中国•四海同春”系列品牌活动在北美、南美、欧洲和东南亚等18个国家和地区取得热烈反响后，今年，我们又精心打造了五个阵容强大、内容精彩的艺术团组和文艺节目，继续为大家奉献多场绚丽多彩的中华文化盛宴。我们将借此机会，带着祖国亲人的亲切问候和美好祝愿与侨胞们一起过大年！

展望新的一年，国务院侨办和中国海外交流协会将继续秉持“以人为本，为侨服务”的宗旨，“心为侨所想、情为侨所系、力为侨所出、益为侨所谋”，并与侨胞们一道，为创造侨社美好明天而共同努力。 祝大家新年快乐，身体健康，阖家幸福，万事如意！
